The purpose of this page is to provide Amateur Radio Traffic Handlers who support the Ohio Single Sideband Net (OSSBN) a convenient way to determine in which Ohio County a given Ohio City is located. There are 1,078 unique town names in Ohio, and many sound similar over 75 meter communications. In addition, it is often useful to have a spelling and zipcode reference for these towns.
The files below are all sorted alphabetically by city/town name, but are provided in several formats for use on your own computer depending on your needs and level of computer experience.
The simplest of these is rendered in flat text. It will display directly on your screen if you click here. Depending on your computer configuration, this file will display in either 'Notepad' or your browser. In either case, you can print the file if desired, or search for a town name, county name, or zipcode. In 'Notepad' use the top toolbar marked 'Search'. Within many MS Explorer browsers, you can access the search feature by using CTRL+F, or use the 'Edit' top toolbar dropdown, and choose "Find on this page". You may also save this simple file directly to your computer desktop for faster and easier offline access. To download, simply RIGHT click here , and choose 'Save Target As' to save the file to wherever on your computer you wish.
