Southeast OH / Mid-OH Valley
Searchable GMRS License Database
This searchable database is designed for fast lookup of
nearly 400 FCC GMRS Licenses in Southeast Ohio and the Mid Ohio Valley,
in order to support emergency communications and continued regional
GMRS development. The emphasis is on GMRS stations actually 'active'
on the regional networks, and not on simply cloning the FCC database.
The database supports searches by full callsign, callsign suffix,
lastname, and city/town. Simply enter the object of your search in
either upper or lower case. A single keyword works best.
Objectives:
- Callsign Suffix Search (last three numerals of callsign)
is useful for identifying stations when you can't copy the entire callsign, but can
capture the suffix. Also useful for Net Control Stations
(NCS) for managing busy nets with closely spaced check-ins.
- City Search is useful for newcomers to identify other
GMRS licensees in their town, in order to obtain help with
radio programming, repeaters access, and operating protocols.
- City Search is also recommended from time to time for review of the
current licensees in your own town, with an eye toward identifying
newcomers, and considering establishment of community or
sub-community networks.
If you are not currently in this database but would like to be,
please email your valid FCC GMRS Callsign to:
gmrs@w8kvk.com.
Questions always welcome.
