Known as the "J-45" during and before WW-II, this key was
designed for military portable, mobile and airborne use.
It was clamped to the
user's thigh (as above), but the key mounting is easily reversed for
use on a flat surface as well. Post-WW-II, these keys are usually
designated as "KY-116/U". So, this key is not 'military surplus'.
It is in very good condition and a unique addition to any
serious CW operator's collection.
